If you are signed up by June 15th, your name will appear in the festival program. I have sent out email confirmations, if you haven't received yours please check your spam/junk. Please go by the day not the date on your letter, I seemed to have missed a couple updates on the schedule dates.
Welcome to another great year of the Sequim Lavender Festival.
As we celebrate our 14th year, the Festival couldn’t happen without the great group of volunteers we have. It takes a lot to make a Festival of this size a success, without the help of hundreds of volunteers we couldn’t make it happen. If you haven’t been a part of the Festival in the past you are in for a treat.
While the street fair is free, the farm tours are not. People must purchase a farm tour ticket in the form of a Festival Button to visit the farms, yes, even to visit just one farm.
There are six Farm Information Booths, and three Street Fair Information Booths. You can work at one or more Booths during the three-day event.
All volunteers will receive a Festival T-shirt noting you are a volunteer, a Festival Participant Button, an invitation to the Festival Wrap Up picnic in August, and the thanks of the entire community.
Here are brief descriptions of each position. If you have any questions, please email me at volunteer@lavenderFestival.com
I look forward to working with you.

SURVEY TAKERS
We are doing research and need help in learing more about who comes to the festival and why, if you would like to assist with our marketing research we would love to have the help. Special training will be provided.

STREET FAIR INFORMATION BOOTHS:
At the Street Fair we have a team of volunteers working the three Street Fair Information Booths. There are Booths at each end of Fir Street and one at 2nd and Alder. As a street fair volunteer you will be selling tickets in the form of Festival buttons, making change, giving directions, handing out programs, talking about the bus system to the farms, pointing out the nearest restroom, and sharing local information.
FARM INFORMATION BOOTHS:
At or near the gate to each farm is the Admission and Information booth. You are responsible for welcoming the visitors to the Festival, selling tickets in the form of Festival buttons, making change, handing out programs, checking to make sure that everyone entering the grounds has a Festival button, explaining the bus system, pointing out the nearest restroom, and sharing local information.
BUS TOUR GUIDE:
Each set of two farms has two buses that run continually from the Street Fair. (See Transportation on the menu). As a bus tour guide you will ride one of the buses on a route. You can talk about the farms on that bus route, places you pass on the route and answer questions from riders. If a bus gets too full and talking gets too difficult, you can instead stand at the Street Fair waiting area and talk with people waiting to get on a bus.

BUS GREETER:
Bus greeters do not ride a bus; they stand at the Street Fair bus area and help with directions, answer questions, point out restrooms, and check to be sure that people know they need to purchase a farm tour ticket in the form of a Festival button to visit the farms.
POOL OF FLEXIBLE VOLUNTEERS:
We also have a team of “flexible volunteers”. These volunteers are available to “fill-in” as needed at the various Street Fair Information Booths and the Farm Information Booths. For instance, if someone is unable to work an assigned shift, I can call on this person to cover.
