Sequim Lavender Festival
Visit Sequim, Washington, the Lavender Capital of North America® to celebrate the 13th annual Sequim Lavender Festival, Friday, July 17 - Sunday, July 19, 2009, sponsored by the Sequim Lavender Growers Association. With Seven Farms on Tour and the Street Fair, it is like Eight Festivals in One.
The Festival is the premier celebration of lavender and the largest lavender celebration in North America. Sequim is located on Washington State’s Olympic Peninsula, cradled in the “rain shadow” of the Olympic Mountains with an ideal microclimate for growing lavender. Sequim lavender has received world-wide recognition for its superior quality and fragrance.
The Seven Farms on Tour invite visitors to experience the splendor of lavender as each farm is distinctive, reflecting the vision of its owner and the environment.
The Street Fair features more than 120 juried booths plus premier lavender products. Local foods, wines, family activities, community programs and live music add to the festivities. Admission to the Street Fair is free
Tickets are $15 and provide admission to all of the Seven Farms on Tour. Children 12 and under admitted free. There is a $5 discount for all active military and their families.
