Visitor Info

Having fallen in love with the lavender fields of France, I was pleasantly surprised when traveling recently through Sequim, Washington on the Olympic Peninsula . . . to learn that this region is now considered the lavender capital of the United States.  There seemed to me an almost mystical connection between those fields where the Olympic Mountains roll down to the ocean and the foothills of the southern Alps as they slope gently to the Mediterranean Sea."  Claire Murray, Editor, La Vie Claire, Winter 2005.  www.clairemurray.com

Looking for a place to stay?

Sequim accommodations are limited and fill up quickly. There are many places to stay on the North Olympic Peninsula. Port Angeles is only 20 minutes west of Sequim and Port Townsend is 45 minutes east of Sequim.  From Forks to Port Orchard, Bremerton and Bainbridge Island, there are extensive local attractions and amenities. We recommend that you check prices at different locations and accommodations before booking rooms as there is a great variation in prices during lavender season.
